Adolescence is a crazy, confusing and painful period. BUT, it also an ideal time to come to therapy because the teen brain is resilient, adaptable, and pre-programmed for growth and change.

I work with teens experiencing a variety of issues including…

  • Grief & Loss

  • School Issues

  • Illness

  • Eating Disorders

  • Trauma

  • Anger

  • Social Anxiety

  • Substance Use

You’re worried…

If your teen is expressing feelings or behaviors that are concerning you, call or email me to consult about treatment.

Your child has incredible gifts, strengths, and potential.

I’M HERE TO HELP THEM DISCOVER THAT.

Couples Therapy

When couples come to therapy with me they often feel defeated and close to giving up. It may feel like you are stuck in the same patterns, unable to communicate effectively or to connect with one another the way you used to. Through our work together, you will gain new insights into what is driving these patterns and learn a new way of coming together with understanding and love. Healing is possible

EMDR for Trauma

What is EMDR?

EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based form of therapy used to treat trauma and facilitate the brain’s natural healing process. EMDR uses eye movements (similar to what occurs in REM sleep or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help facilitate information processing and relieve the effects of trauma and the accompanying negative beliefs.

EMDR may be a good fit if:

  • You find yourself reliving distressing memories from years ago

  • You’ve experienced traumatic events that are difficult for you to talk about

  • You prefer structured therapy to address specific traumatic events you can’t shake off

  • You have a primary therapist and want to do short-term work to address a specific trauma as secondary treatment

  • Talk therapy and other approaches have not been helpful to relieve the impact of your traumatic experience
