ABOUT CARROLL FOLEY, LCSW, LICSW
You don’t have to carry this all on your own.
I’m a therapist who knows from experience that no matter where you’re starting from, or how difficult things are right now, change is possible. While I specialize in the tough stuff - like grief, big life changes, trauma, illness, and losses of all kinds - I welcome anyone with an interest in growing or healing from what life has thrown your way. I love the Rumi quote: “As you start to walk on the way, the way appears”. I encourage you to take that first step. I’m looking forward to walking the way, together.
Good therapists are way more than “good listeners”.
HOW I WORK
Let me begin with how I don’t work. I don’t sit there passively, asking you how you feel, and leaving you to do all the work or to wonder what I’m thinking. And I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach to doing therapy. I’m a real person in our sessions together and an active participant. I will provide an accepting and secure space where we will dive deeply into all manner of troublesome issues in the spirit of authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. Through our work you will have a better understanding of yourself and the unconscious patterns that are holding you back.
